Help Passing The North Carolina Real Estate Exam In Asheville

Is the North Carolina real estate exam hard?  The North Carolina real estate exam is 140 multiple choice questions.  One hundred of the questions are what the test makers call "general " questions.  Forty of the questions are "North Carolina" questions.  To pass, a real estate test applicant has to get 71 of the 100 "general" questions correct and 29 of the 40 "North Carolina"   questions correct.

Last month, the pass rate for the exam was fifty nine per cent.  That means if 100 people took the exam, fifty nine passed.  Forty one exam applicants will be paying $164 to the North Carolina Real Estate Commission to try again.  I think it is important to pass the first time.

Does it matter what real estate school you attend?  It is the instructor that matters.  Some are good.  Some are not so good.  How can you know if an instructor does a good job?  Read the real estate instructor's reviews on Facebook and Google.  Watch the videos that the instructor has posted on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY&t=70s

How long is the real estate broker's course in North Carolina?  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission requires the real estate broker's class to be seventy five hours long.  There is a lot of material to be learned.  You need to read the textbook.  You need to study outside the classroom.   You need to expose yourself to practice exams through out the course.  You need to get together with your class mates and study together. Here is a short example of why. http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html   Creating study groups is a wonderful helpful way to increase your learning effort.

After you pass your real estate school exam at First Real Estate School www.firstrealestateschool.com , you have to pass a 140 question exam given by AMP, a testing service contracted by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.  This is the exam with the 59% pass rate. http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/pass-fail-statistics-for-north-carolina.html .

Can I take the North Carolina real estate broker course online?  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission believes that real estate can not be learned on line.  You need to attend a brick and mortar real estate school with a live instructor licensed by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.  If you disagree with that opinion, feel free to contact them at www.ncrec.gov .  I am certain they would love to hear from you.

There are lots of study aids available online to help real estate students  pass their real estate course. Here is a word of caution.  If the "practice test" or "cram course" online is NOT from a North Carolina real estate school, be suspicious.   It likely has wrong information or useless information.  First Real Estate School in Hendersonville has a couple of practice exams that will help anyone that is soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam.  The free one is at http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html   and the ten dollar one is at www.ncreexam.com   Check those out if you are soon taking the test.

Is the math on the North Carolina real estate exam difficult?  Also posted online is my free You Tube real estate math videos to help anyone that is planning on passing the real estate test the first time.  The test is fifteen per cent math.  Many real estate instructors teach the math rather rapidly.  I have posted any math that you need to know on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM&t=80s   It is hard to pass the North Carolina real estate exam if you cannot do the math.  The cool thing about having it on You Tube is you don't have to raise your hand in class and ask questions.  Just hit rewind.  Any math that is on the exam, I have posted on You Tube.

Can I earn an extraordinary income selling real estate?  The answer to that is a very loud YES!   The real estate industry is full of people that spent twenty years earning a mediocre income.  Then they went to real estate school, got their real estate license , doubled their income and never looked back.

Almost all real estate is sold on commission.  If you want to earn $50,000 per year, you can do that in real estate.  If you want to earn $250,000 per year, you can do that as well.  How hard you work depends on how hard you want to work.  It is not the same answer for everyone.  The opportunity is there for anyone.

If You Get A Bad Instructor in Real Estate School in North Carolina..

Yesterday, I received a sad email from a man in that had just taken a real estate licensing course from a real estate school in the flat end of North Carolina.

He told me that his instructor was was pretty dull and uninteresting.  He told me that she did not really understand the material well enough to explain it.  He also told me that fourteen out of fourteen of the students enrolled in the class, failed the real estate school exam.  He emailed me to ask for advice.  He was asking me because he had watched my North Carolina real estate math videos on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM&t=69s  Here is a link to one of the "Black Shirt" videos.  Watch all five of them if you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam.

Here is the advice that I gave this man.  I told him to read every word of the text book.  Read every chapter at least once .  Three times would be better.  Read the "comments", Appendix A on page 615 of the ninth edition.  Read that at least three times.  Read "Real Estate Licensing In North Carolina' on page 638 of the textbook.  Here is a video to tell you what that is about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4&t=286s   This little brochure from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission tells us exactly what is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  This is the same ratio that this material is on the school exam.

I told him to share any help he could find on the internet with his classmates.  Get together with your classmates and study together.  make passing the North Carolina real estate exam a group activity.

I told him that one of my competitors has the entire class posted on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPGFNWukT8Q&t=290s   Here is a link to the first one.  This is free help.  Watch them all.

First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, N.C.
I told him to answer all the questions at the end of the chapters.  Really answer them like a test.  Grade yourself.  If you are not passing those, you probably won't pass the real estate school test which is written by the North Carolina real estate commission.  I told him to do all the other tests that are in the textbook.  I have have a free practice exam right here on this blog as well as a 100 question practice exam at www.ncreexam.com  Do those practice tests.

I also have a North Carolina exam review at www.northcarolinaexamreview.com  on video.  This is not free .  It is certainly worthwhile.

I also told  him to write his own questions.  Make flash cards.  Put,"What North Carolina law regulates ad valorum taxes ?" on one side of a 3x5 card and the
"machinery act" on the other side .  Make about  500 of these.  Use them.

I suggested that he study any way he can morning,  noon and night.  I suggested that he could worry about his social life after he passed the North Carolina real estate exam, the exam with a 60% pass rate that costs $164 to take the second time.

I suggested that there are many things that a student can do to help a struggling instructor.  Number one, pay attention.  Do not be part of the instructor's problem.  Be part of the instructor's solution.  Pay attention and insist that your classmates pay attention.  Talk to your classmates during the break .   Tell them that texting while the teacher is talking is RUDE RUDE RUDE.  Maybe they do not understand that.  Maybe they believe in multitasking.  I assure you will not be passing the North Carolina real estate exam if you are multitasking.  It is hard to listen to a mediocre instructor explain title insurance while posting on Facebook.  Do your part as a student.  Ask a question if you don't understand.  Don't attack and criticize the teacher.  Help the teacher.  Your tuition is spent.  You have to put in the hours.  It is going to affect your life more than it is the teacher's if you fail.

Getting a real estate license in North Carolina is not easy.   The course is difficult.  The material is boring even if you have a fabulous instructor.  The North Carolina real estate exam is hard with a capital H.  Overstudy.  Study like you are appearing on a quiz show with a million dollar prize.
Guide to Passing AMP Real Estate Exam, get this book.

There is a wonderful book titled "Guide to Passing the AMP Real Estate Exam" .  We sell this book on our website at www.firstrealestateschool.com  .   I am sad to admit this.  I did not know how wonderful this book was until my own students started telling me.  I now sell it in class as well as the website.  Get this book.  It is full of questions and wonderful explanations.  It is published by Dearborn, the same people that publish you real estate textbook.

If you are in the mountain end of North Carolina and you want to get a real estate license, consider us, First Real Estate School, in Hendersonville.  Study, study, study.

Real Estate Sales Manager, Recruit Me or Compete with Me

Imagine that you are a real estate sales manager.  Recruiting new real estate agents is your most important job.

Just as listing a new house is a real estate agent's most lucrative activity, recruiting a a new real estate agent is the sales manager's most lucrative activity.

There you are, Ms. Sales Manager, with a young, energetic  possible recruit sitting across the desk from you.  You need to decide if you want this person working in your office.  If you decide that you do want this person in your office, you need to present your company to this recruit in a manner that will attract them to your company.
First Real Estate School wants to help you statr a new career

If you do not recruit this person to your company, this person  will become your competitor soon.  Remind yourself that this is true.  If you don't recruit this new real estate licensee that just graduated from real estate school, your competitor will recruit them.  That new real estate licensee will be your competitor for a long time.

If that real estate agent at Unhappy Realty is about to leave Unhappy Realty, you need to recruit her.  If you don't, she will still be your competitor.  She will just be working for another competitor.  Get that unhappy agent working for you.  It won't be long until she is happy and you are too.

Recruiting new real estate agents is not a part time job.  If you are a sales manager, recruiting good real estate agents is your most important, most lucrative activity.  Take this job seriously.  Be on the lookout for good people that need to leave their dead end job and consider a career in real estate.

Run ads.  Talk to existing agents at meetings.  Ask people that you meet if a new career might be a consideration. I am always amazed when I talk to a sales manager that does not understand that recruiting new agents is the lifeblood of any real estate office.  New real estate agents bring new ideas.  They bring new energy.  Sure, they bring some problems and aggravation.  Do you know a way to earn an extraordinary income without problems and aggravation?

Recruiting good people is vital to the success of any real estate office.  Call a prospect.

First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, North Carolina is part of the recruiting branch of Keller Williams Mountain Partners Realty at 404 S. Main Street in Hendersonville.  If you are looking for a new career, call us at 828 440 1064  We don't want to compete with you.  We want to help you launch a new real estate career that will change your life.

Many people attend First Real Estate School that do not intend to work for Keller Williams.  That is OK.  Our tuition for the basic real estate course is $300.  Why would you want to attend real estate school at a more expensive real estate school?. Check us out at the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's website .  www.ncrec.gov  Check out First Real Estate School's website at www.firstrealestateschool.com   Call us.  Change your life.
