What Per Cent Pass The North Carolina Real Estate Exam in August 2019?

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the pass fail statistics for the real estate exam in August, 2019.  The North Carolina real estate exam is a two part exam.  Eighty questions are on the "national"  portion of the exam.  Forty questions are on the "North Carolina"  portion of the exam.  A real estate license applicant has to pass both sections of the exam before they are awarded a North Carolina real estate license.  It costs $164 EVERY TIME YOU TAKE THE EXAM.

In August, six hundred and thirty six real estate license applicants took the two part North Carolina real estate exam.  Three hundred and fifty five of those applicants passed.  That is a fifty six per cent success rate.  All of these real estate license applicants had passed a real estate course taught by a North Carolina real estate school approved by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.  Two hundred and eighty one of these real estate exam applicants will be paying $164 to try again before they receive a North Carolina real estate license.

I suggest that if you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, overstudy.  Study a lot.  It is not a mystery what is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission publishes a booklet to tell a real estate license applicant EXACTLY what is on the exam.  It is a free download from the Commission's website.  www.ncrec.gov .  Also I have posted a video explaining it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4  Download this booklet.  Study what IS on the exam.

On You Tube, I have an explanation of how to do all the math that is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  https://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/if-this-math-question-were-on-your.html  Please take a minute and read this article.  Here is a link to one of a dozen You Tube videos to help you with the math.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuHYf3DYhIU  The math is at least ten per cent of your test.  At $164 per try, you can not ignore the math.  Watch the videos. Learn to do the math.
Do not underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.

I have published a free practice test right here on this blog.  Take an few minutes and do the test.  Grade yourself.  If you are not making a 90% on that little test, keep studying.  Here is a link to that.
http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html   If you are having trouble making a ninety per cent on this test, KEEP STUDYING.

I have another North Carolina practice test.  The link for it is www.ncreexam.com  .  This exam costs ten dollars.  After you take the test, I give you the answers on video along with an explanation. There is one exam for the national portion and one exam for the North Carolina portion.  Take them both.  If you are not making a ninety, take it again.  You can take it as many times as you like.  Invite you classmates over.  Study together.   Ten dollars is a lot cheaper than $164.   Forty four per cent of the test takers paid $164 to try again.  Pass the first time.

One of the problems with the North Carolina two part exam is that you have to pass both portions.  If you made 100% on the national portion and missed the state portion by one point, you would be paying $164 to take that state portion again.

More people fail the "North Carolina "   portion than the national portion.  Half of the questions from the "North Carolina" portion of the exam come from "The Comments".  This is a free download from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's website at www.ncrec.gov .  Read "The Comments"  at least ten times.  This is dull reading.  I have read this onto You Tube.  If you would rather listen to me read it, here is a link to the first of seven videos.  It is not fun and interesting but it is certainly absolutely on the exam.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaPLEyKzX24  Read or watch me read the comments.  This is on the most missed portion of the exam.

If you live anywhere near Hendersonville, attend First Real Estate School.  www.firstrealestateschool.com   If not, watch the math videos.  Read or listen to the comments.  Read your textbook.   Answer the questions in your textbook.  Take my practice exams.  Watch the math videos.  Call me if I can help you.

Pass Fail Statistics for March, 2019 for North Carolina Real Estate Exam

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the pass fail statistics for March 2019.  Seven hundred and eight real estate license applicants took the North Carolina real estate exam at a PSI test at one of the fifteen offices throughout the state.  Three hundred eighty two of those applicants passed.  That is is a 54% pass rate for March of 2019.  Three hundred and twenty six of these real estate license applicants will be back paying $164 to take the test again.

It is expensive to underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.  The North Carolina real estate exam is in two parts.  There are eighty questions on the "national"  portion of the exam,  There are forty questions on the "North Carolina" portion of the exam. You have to pass both portions to get a North Carolina real estate broker license.  Lots of real estate broker applicants pass the national portion but fail the "North Carolina" portion.  Those real estate license applicants will be taking the "North Carolina" portion again.  They will pay $164 for that experience.

In March, two hundred and ninety applicants took the "North Carolina" portion for the second or third or fourth time.  One hundred and seventy five passed.  That is 58%.  They all paid $164.

It is not a secret what is on this test.  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission publishes a booklet titled " Real Estate Licensing in North Carolina" .  Here is a video explaining this more thoroughly.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4&t=18s  On page sixteen of this booklet, it tells you exactly what is on the North Carolina real estate exam.

Over half the questions on the "North Carolina"  portion of the test come from Appendix A in your textbook.  To go pay $164 to take this test without reading Appendix A is foolish.  Appendix A is also called "The Comments".  If you walk out of the exam with a failure notice in your hand, ( You passed the "national".  You failed the "North Carolina"  portion. )  you need to open your textbook before you crank up the car and start reading "The Comments"  and marking things that you saw on your test that you took a few minutes ago.  You will see those same things next time.  Don't go back ( at $164 per try) without knowing how many members of the NCREC must be real estate brokers.  Does that make sense?
Do not underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.

If you find "The Comments" too boring to read, I have read it for you on You Tube.  Here is a link to that.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaPLEyKzX24  There are seven videos of me reading "The Comments".  Read it.  Listen to me read it or pay $164 to try again.  Understand agency.  It is fifteen questions on the exam.  Read "The Comments".

If you want to know if you are ready for the North Carolina real estate exam, go to my practice test at www.ncreexam.com  .  I have two practice exams, one for the "national" portion of the exam and one for the "North Carolina" portion of the exam.  The tuition is ten dollars per exam.  Invest $10 before you invest $164.

There is no math on the "North Carolina" portion of the exam.  If you need help with the math, I have a dozen You Tube math videos posted on You Tube.  It is free.  If there is math that you don't know how to do, watch the free real estate math videos.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY  The "national" portion of the real estate exam is ten per cent math.  It is hard to pass if you can not do the real estate math.

If First Real Estate School in Hendersonville can help you pass the North Carolina real estate exam, contact us at www.firstrealestateschool.com

Pass Fail Statistics for The North Carolina Real Estate Exam for February 2019

In February of 2019, four hundred and two real estate license applicants  took the North Carolina real estate exam for the first time.  All of these real estate license applicants passed a seventy five hour  real estate course at an accredited real estate school in North Carolina.  Two hundred and twelve of these applicants passed.  The rest of them will be back at the PSI test center, paying $164 to take the exam again.  That is a 52% pass rate.  If you are an pessimist, that is a 48% failure rate.

This North Carolina real estate exam is not easy.  It is not inexpensive.  It cost $164 every time you take it.  Overstudying seems like a good idea.

How do the repeat test takers do? In February, two hundred and two repeat test takers took the North Carolina real estate exam for the second or third or fourth time.  Thirty five exam candidates passed.   They all paid $164 every time they took the North Carolina real estate exam.  That is a 17% pass rate.  This test is not easy.
The North Carolina real estate test is not easy

It would appear that the repeat exam candidates would do better.  They have already seen the test.  They know how hard it is.  They know that the answers look very similar.  It seems that they would fare better.  This is not true.  What is true is that the applicants that failed underestimated the North Carolina real estate exam.  They think they are ready.

They think they are ready even though they have not done any practice tests like the one in the back of their real estate textbook or the free practice test that I have posted at http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html  This is free.  This is easy.  This will give any applicant a warning if they need one.  Plenty of applicants go take the exam at $164 per opportunity without taking this FREE practice exam.  Why?  It is a mystery to me.  I have another practice exam at www.ncreexam.com .  You should be making a 95% on my practice exam before you spend $164 to practice at the PSI test center.  Does that seem right to you?  Answer ALL the questions at the end of the chapters in your real estate textbook.

There is no mystery about what is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission publishes a forty page booklet that tells us EXACTLY what is on the real estate exam.  Many real estate exam applicants go pay $164 to take the exam without even glancing at this information in this booklet.  Here is a video that I made with more information about that.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4  Check this out.  If you are studying, be certain that you are studying the right thing.

The North Carolina real estate exam is broken into two parts:  The "national" portion which is one hundred questions and the "North Carolina" portion which is forty questions .  An applicant can make a 100% on one portion and miss the other portion by one point.  That applicant will be paying $164 to take that failed portion again.  This may not seem fair.  That is the way it is.  Far more people fail the North Carolina portion than the national portion.  You either know what the Conner act is or you don't.  You either know what the Machinery act is or you don't.  You either know how many members are on the N.C.R.E.C. or you don't.

In your textbook in Appendix A, there is about half of what you need to know to pass the North Carolina portion of the test.  Many test candidates go take the exam without reading Appendix A, "The Comments".  Why would anyone do that?  Read "The Comments" in Appendix A in your textbook.  It is boring.  It is dull.  It is on the test.  If you don't want to read it yourself, you can listen to me read it on You Tube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaPLEyKzX24  There are seven of these videos.  Read it yourself or listen to me read it.  This material is certainly on the North Carolina real estate exam.

The national portion of the exam is 100 questions.  Fifteen percent of those one hundred questions are math.  An applicant needs to be able to compute interest and equity dividend rate and amortization and excise tax and net listings and commissions.  I have all of the this posted in a series of videos on You Tube.  Any math that is on the North Carolina real estate exam is posted on You Tube.  Watch it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY&t=58s  Watch the six videos where I am wearing the black T shirt.  Math is fifteen percent of the national portion of the exam.

Make studying a team sport.  Get together with your classmates.  Share ideas and study aids that you have found online.  Help each other.  Since I work at Keller Williams Realty, this seems natural to me.  We encourage our students to study together and pass together.

Here is a super simple obvious tip.  Read the textbook.  There are plenty of test applicants that go take the test ( at $164 per opportunity) when they have not read the textbook.  Yes, I mean read every word of the textbook including the glossary.  Read the textbook.  Turn off the TV.  Turn off Facebook.  Read the textbook.  If you are still in real estate school, read the chapter that you know your instructor will be covering next class session.  Write questions in the margin.  Ask them in class.  Read the real estate textbook.

Make yourself some flashcards.  Make a couple of hundred.  Take a 3x5 card.  Write Four things the N.C.R.E.C. can do as punishment on one side of the card.  Put the answer on the back.  Use these all the time until your exam.  Write What are riparian rights on one side of the card.  Put the answer on the back.

     Study, Study, Study.

When you get your North Carolina real estate license, if you're looking for a great place to start your new career, let me personally invite you to interview with Keller Williams Realty.  This is such a pleasant place to work and start a new career.  A new licensee could not ask for better training or peer support.  Please call me at 828 755 6996.  I will have a team leader from an office near you to contact you.  You will thank me later.

First things first.  Pass the N.C.R.E.C. exam.  Watch my You Tube videos.  Take my practice exam.  Study.  Study.  Study.  Stay in touch with your classmates.  Gather their contact information while you are still in class.  Call them and congratulate them when they pass.

Pass Fail Rate for North Carolina Real Estate Exam in November, 2018

The fee for attempting the North Carolina real estate exam is $164 EVERY TIME YOU TAKE IT.  Last month in November 2018, five hundred and thirty six real estate license applicants took the North Carolina real estate test for the first time.  All of these test candidates had already passed a test at a real estate school that is approved by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission www.ncrec.gov

The North Carolina real estate exam is divided into two parts.  One part is the national portion.  That is one hundred questions.  To pass, an applicant needs to get seventy two of those one hundred questions correct.  The other half of the North Carolina real estate exam is the North Carolina section.   This is forty questions.  An applicant must get twenty nine of these forty questions right to pass.  If you have not read Appendix A from your textbook, you better read it before you spend $164.  Here is a video of me reading it to you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaPLEyKzX24&t=442s   About half of the questions on the state portion of the exam come from "The Comments" .  Either read Appendix A or listen to me read it to you.  It is seven videos.

In order to leave the test center with a smile on his face, a test applicant has to pass the national section and the North Carolina section of the test.  In November of 2018, two hundred and seventy nine exam candidates did this. Two hundred and fifty seven test applicants left with a sad face and a failure notice.  That is a 52% pass rate.
Do not underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.

If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, please do not underestimate this test.  It is tough.  It is expensive to to fail.  If you have to take the exam again, it costs $164 every time.  If you pass the national portion and fail the North Carolina portion, it costs $164 to take the portion you failed. If you pass the state portion and have to take the national portion again, it will cost you $164.

Last month, forty three real estate license applicants (repeat test takers) took the national portion only for the second or third or fourth time.  Twenty seven of those applicants passed.  That is 63%.

Last month two hundred and sixty four exam candidates (repeat test takers) took the North Carolina only portion of the North Carolina real estate exam for the second or third or fourth or fifth time.  One hundred and forty five passed.  That is  55%.

This is really depressing.  One hundred thirty six test candidates (repeat test takers) took both halves of the exam for the second or third or fourth time.  Twenty nine of these repeaters passed.  That is a 21% pass rate.

Unless you have a lot more money than I do, you can not go take this North Carolina exam without being prepared.  It is too expensive.  You need to pass on the first try.  Many students study like they want to baaaaaaaaarely pass.  They are aiming to make a 73 on the national portion and a 29 on the state portion.  Please study like you intend to make a 100% on both halves.

I operate First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, North Carolina.  I tell my students what to study and how to study.  Why do some of them go take the test at $164 per opportunity without reading the textbook?  I tell them to read the textbook.  Half do.  Half don't.  Why?  I do not know.

Why do some of the students answer the questions at the end of the chapter and some do not?  I do not know.  Any test applicant needs practice answering questions similar to the ones on the North Carolina real estate exam.  I have a free practice exam right here on this blog.  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html   I have another practice exam at www.ncreexam.com  Why would anyone go spend money to take the exam without doing these practice exams?

We sell a book in our class titled " Guide To Passing the AMP Real Estate Exam" .  It has a thousand practice questions to help anyone pass the North Carolina real estate exam.  You would think that every one would buy this book.  Half do.  Half don't.  At First Real Estate School, we also sell a Math help book published by 3 Wise Teachers .  The math is ten per cent of the exam.  We also have the solution to any math questions posted on You Tube.  Why would any test applicant NOT avail themselves to this help? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3TtXSnMx9s  There is a dozen of these videos on You Tube.  If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam at $164 per pop, watch them.  Why would anyone go pay $164 to take the exam when they don't know how to determine value when given cap rate and NOI ?  If you don't know how to determine maximum payment that a buyer can qualify for when given debts and income, don't bet $164 that you will not get that problem.  Watch the video.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy1Y7zDO3M4  Why would anyone spend $164 to take the exam when that test applicant does not know how to compute the number of acres in a football field?  Why indeed?  You know what is going to be on the test.  Certainly you know if you are going back for the second time.  If you don't know, watch this video.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4&t=53s   It is not a mystery what is on the North Carolina real estate exam.

Here is a tidbit of advice that will diminish your cost of taking the exam.  When you go take the exam for the first time, leave a pad of paper and a pen laying on the seat of your car.  If you come back to your car with a failure notice in your hand like 48% of the test takers do,  start writing down questions that were on your test.  Sound simple?  You will not believe how many people DON"T do this.  They see a question on their repeat effort at passing the exam that was on their first attempt test.  They did not know what an extender clause was the first time they took the test.  When they saw the question the second time they took the test, they figured it was probably time to find out what it is.  Sure enough , the same question was there the third time.  Write those questions down and find out the answers before you go back at $164 per trip.  Better yet, talk to your classmates.

Study, study, study.  Obviously, 48% of the first time test takers underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.  Don't be one of those folks.  At First Real Estate School, we teach a state exam review on the second weekend of each month.  www.firstrealestateschool.com  If you live anywhere near Hendersonville, get yourself a test date soon after the second weekend and join us.  The tuition is $60.  After taking the exam four times that does not seem like much money.

Get together with your classmates and study together.  Call your classmates and congratulate then on passing the exam.  Watch my math videos.  The exam will be ten per cent math.  Share tips and ideas that you find online with your classmates.

If First Real Estate School can help you in your license process, contact us at www,firstrealestateschool.com   Our next pre license class is 1 -29-19 .  Our next state exam review is 1-12-19 Saturday and Sunday /  Call  us to register at   828 440 1064 .

Pass Fail Rate for North Carolina Real Estate Exam for September 2018

Last month, September 2018, four hundred and fifty two real estate license applicants took the North Carolina real estate exam.  All of these real estate license applicants had already passed a test at an accredited real estate school in North Carolina.  Two hundred and fifty eight of the real estate license applicants passed.  That is a 57% pass rate.  The North Carolina real estate exam is no joke.

If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam.  please do not underestimate this exam like 43% of the real estate license candidates did last month.  This is a $164 mistake.  That is what it costs every time you take the North carolina real estate exam.  Pass it the first time.

Here is the problem.  Most test candidates study like they want to baaaaaarely pass.  Their goal is to make a seventy two out of a hundred on the national portion and twenty nine out of forty on the North carolina portion.  At $164 per opportunity, you need to study like you want to make 100% on both parts of the exam.

Read the textbook.  There are lots of students that go take the state test without having read the textbook.  Many students go take the exam without answering the questions at the end of the chapter.  Many students go spend their $164 when they have not done the practice test in the back of the textbook.  Is $164 a lot of money at your house?  What about $164 x 5 ?  Is that a lot of money at your house?

Last month, one hundred and fifty two repeat test takers took the North Carolina real estate exam.  These real estate license applicants knew how tough this test is.  They have already taken it once or twice or five times.  Twenty three of those repeat  test takers passed.  That is a fifteen per cent pass rate.  If you are going back for an encore performance, may I suggest a few study tips for you?

Watch ALL of my North Carolina real estate math videos on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM&t=18s   This is free.  It is reasonably easy.  There is no math on the North Carolina real estate exam that I do not have a video for.  The North Carolina real estate exam is fifteen per cent math.  Why would you go take a test that is 15% math when you know there is math on it that you do not know how to do?  Learn to do the math before you go. Read the syllabus for the course that you have already passed.  It tells you exactly what math is on the North Carolina real estate test.  How much money have you budgeted to spend taking this test?

First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, N.C.
Here is another study tip.  Read the "Comments", Appendix A in the textbook. Seventy five per cent of the questions on the North Carolina portion of the test come straight out of the "Comments"  Read the "Comments" ten times.  If you just can not read this BORING material, I have it posted on You Tube.  I will read it to you.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaPLEyKzX24&t=14s  This will take six videos.  More students fail the North Carolina portion of the test than the national portion.  Read the "Comments".  Last month, fifty two per cent of repeat test takers taking only the North Carolina portion of the exam (at $164 per try) passed.  Forty eight per cent will be back one more time spending $164 at the PSI test center.  You can not pass the North Carolina portion of the test if you don't know what is in the "Comments".

Have you tried my free practice test right here on this blog?  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html  If not, try it before you try thr PSI test at $164 per try.  Have you taken my practice test at www.ncreexam.com  ?  There are two of them, one for the national and one for the state .  Take them both.

Have you made flashcards?

Have you taken a state exam review class?

Are you getting together with your classmates?  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html  Studying together is a fun and effective.

Please do not underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.  It is tough by any definition.  The pass rate is dismal.  It is expensive to fail.

If you live anywhere near Hendersonville in western North Carolina, please accept my invitation to come interview with us at Keller Williams Realty on Main Street.  It is a perfect place to start your new career.  Call me at 828 755 6996.

Pass Fail Ratio for The North Carolina Real Estate Exam for June , 2018

In June of 2018, six hundred eighty six real estate license applicants attempted the North Carolina real estate exam.  Three hundred ninety three of those real estate license applicants passed both parts of the North Carolina real estate exam.  That is a fifty seven per cent pass ratio.  Forty three per cent of those applicants will be paying $164 to try again.

This situation is not quite as dismal as it may appear at first glance.  The North Carolina real estate exam is a two part exam.  One hundred questions are the "general " portion of the North Carolina real estate exam.  Forty questions are the "North Carolina"  portion of the exam.  You can pass one and fail the other.  If you do, you will be paying $164 to try THAT portion again.

Last month, one hundred sixty seven repeat test takers took the cumulative (both parts) exam for the second or third or fourth time.  They all paid $164 for the privilege.  Thirty of those applicants passed.  That is an 18% pass rate.  Do not underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.

Here is some more information.  In June, forty seven real estate license applicants took the "general" portion of the exam as a repeater.  Twenty six of those test takers passed.  Forty five percent of those exam applicants will be back paying $164 to try one more time.

Two hundred ninety three real estate exam applicants took the North Carolina Only portion of the North Carolina real estate exam as a repeater in June.  They all paid $164 .  Forty per cent of these folks will be paying $164 to try again.

If you are soon taking the North carolina real estate exam, may I ask you a few questions?

First, is $164 a lot of money at your house?

Second,   have you read "The Comments" AKA Appendix A in your textbook?  It is on page 615.  A better question would be, How many times have you read it?   Half the "North Carolina" questions come from "The Comments".  Read it at least five times.  It is also a free download from the NCREC www.ncrec.gov

Third,  have you read the NCREC's booklet, "Real Estate Licensing in North Carolina"?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4    Here is a link to a video I made about that. It tells you what is on the exam.  Many repeat test takers don't read this booklet until they have failed the exam a couple of times.  I suggest reading it before your first attempt.  It is also in your textbook on page 638.  It is also a free download from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.

Fourth, why would anyone go spend $164 to take a test that they have not studied for?  The two above documents contain half the "North Carolina " questions.  Read Appendix A, at least, five times.
Giving a small gift is a good way to start a business transaction.

Fifth, have you answered ALL the questions in your textbook?  There are questions at the end of the chapters.  Have you answered them?  There are practice tests.  Have you answered those?  There is a fifty question math test.  Can you do all the math?  Have you done that test?   The North Carolina real estate exam is at least ten per cent math.  That is 14 math questions.  If you have any problem with that test from your textbook, it is on You Tube.  Here is a link.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxc4SZ1CW1w  Any math that is on the North Carolina real estate exam, I have it posted on You Tube.  Put Ron Climer North Carolina math into the search bar.  Most people that fail the exam, only fail by a point or two.  YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO DO THE MATH!  I did the hard part and posted them on You Tube. You do the easy part.   Before you go bet $164 that you are ready, watch all the math videos.  Read this.  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2016/12/solving-real-estate-math-problems-for.html    Make the math be your friend instead of your enemy.

Sixth, have you done my practice exam at www.ncreexam.com ?  Have you done my free practice exam at http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html   ?   Practice exam are great study aids.  Have you bought the book, "Guide to Passing the AMP Real Estate Exam"  ?  It has a thousand practice questions.

Seventh, have you called your classmates and created study groups.  Do you have most of your classmates contact info so you can call them the evening of their big exam and congratulate them on passing?  Have you read my article about trick questions?   http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html

Eighth, Did you leave a notepad or recorder on the front seat of your car so IF you return to your car after the exam with a failure notice in your hand, you can start writing down the questions that you saw that you did not know the answer to?  Do this before you leave the parking lot.   Did you? Did you?   Because I have so many helpful videos posted on You Tube, I get phone calls from all over North Carolina.  Almost all of these calls are from people that have failed the North Carolina real estate exam, at least, twice.  They tell there was stuff on the exam that they had never heard of.  My natural reply was, "Like what?'.  Almost always they tell that they can not remember what.  Gee!  Do you think if they see that same question next time, they will know the answer?  At $164 a pop, I suggest that if you see a question like, "What is the CFPB?"  you better know what that is before you go back.  Anyone that failed both portions of the exam had to miss more than 39 questions.  Find out the answers to those 39 questions BEFORE you spend that next $164.  If you know what the CFPB is, please leave a comment for your fellow travelers.   If you don't know what it is, find out before you write that $164 check.

Ninth, did you take a box of chocolates and give it to the exam monitor as you ask him to give you the EZ test?   I have been suggesting this to my students ever since computerized testing was started in Florida.   I started telling my students back in 01 that if they would take a box of chocolates to the exam site and ask the monitor to give them the easy test, she would.  Half my students were skeptical.  The other half believed me and took the chocolates.  A couple of years later, I received a letter from the F.R.E.C. informing me that there is no EZ test .  I should quit telling my students to bring chocolates to the exam monitor.  Of course, I continued to suggest that the students take the chocolates.  A year later, we received a phone call at the school from the testing center.  It was one of the exam monitors.  She just wanted to let us know that her favorite chocolate was Godiva chocolate.  Take the chocolate.

The reason I started to suggest this was because I read Dr. Robert Cialdini's book, "Influence".  In this fabulous book, he explains the basic, instinctual, power of reciprocity. This is a principle of influence that states that if I give you a gift, there is a strong urge  for you to give me a gift back.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOypv1AqYu0

A couple of months ago, I had a man call me from the flat end of the state. He told me that he had taken the North Carolina real estate exam several times.  He told that the last time he took the exam, he walked in and the test monitor told him to go sit at table 7.  He had sat at table 7 the last time he was there.  He asked if it would be alright if he were assigned another table.  There was no other test candidates there.  The monitor barked at him and said," Get your ass at table 7 or get the Hell out of here."  He told me that was rather disconcerting.  He failed one more time.  Do you think that would have happen if he walked in with a box of chocolates?  There may not be an EZ test.  There is probably some things known only to the test monitor that can make your visit to the testing center more pleasant.  Take the chocolates.  If you can not afford a three dollar box of chocolate, at least bring a big smile and a pleasant attitude.

Question number ten, would you please quit studying like you want to BAAAAAARELY pass. Please study like you want to make 100%.  Study like you want to get your picture on the front page of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's Bulletin as the only person this year to make 100%.  Study like you have a $100,000 per year job waiting for you.  Because you do.  Get together with your classmates, suggest that everyone that is willing puts $164 in a jar.  The first one to leave class and get their real estate license keeps all the money in the jar.  Study like you have $164 in that jar and so do ten of your classmates.  Don't study like you are hoping to pass.  Study like it is life or death.

Question number eleven, would you please leave me a comment and tell me what else you can do with $164 besides taking the North Carolina real estate exam over?

If First Real Estate School in Hendersonville www.firstrealestateschool.com can help you get your North Carolina real estate license contact us.  Our next class starts August 14, 2018.  Leave a comment.

North Carolina Real Estate Exam Pass Fail Statistics for May 2018

Yesterday, the North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the pass fail statistics for the North Carolina real estate exam for May.  Six hundred and eighty six real estate license applicants took the exam in May.  Three hundred and ninety three passed.  That is a 57% pass rate.   They all paid $164 for the experience. This North Carolina real estate exam is no picnic.   Two hundred and ninety three of those real estate license applicants will be paying $164 to take the North Carolina real estate exam for the second time.   This exam is not easy.  It is not  inexpensive either.

Yesterday, I received a sad email from one of my recent  First Real Estate School graduates in Hendersonville.  www.firstrealestateschool.com .  She told me that she took the North Carolina real estate exam in Asheville.  She told me that she felt that she was prepared.  She told me that she missed the general portion of the exam by five points.  She missed the North Carolina section by five points.  She asked me if I had any additional study aids that could help her pass on her second attempt at the North Carolina real estate exam.

I replied to her email.  I asked her if she had taken my practice exam at www.ncreexam.com .  I asked her if she had watched ALL of my free North Carolina real estate math videos on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY  Why would anyone go pay $164 to take the North Carolina real estate test if they don't know how to amortize a mortgage when given principal balance and monthly payments and interest rate?

If you don't know how to:

compute excise tax
compute seller's net check
compute buyer's cash to close
compute commission
compute value when given NOI and capitalization rate
compute adjusted basis for an investor
compute square feet of a house with a bay window
compute per cent of profit
pro rate taxes and rent and HOA fees
compute adjustments for CMA
compute equity dividend rate
compute price per acre when given price and lot dimensions

when would be a good time to learn?  Before or after you pay $164 to "try" the North Carolina real estate exam?   I think before!  All of this is on You Tube.  It is free.  You know you are going to see these arithmetic questions on the exam.  Turn off the TV.  Turn off Facebook.  Turn on You Tube.
North Carolina real estate exam is not easy

Why don't students call their classmates and ask them what was on their exam when they took it yesterday?  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html   Why don't real estate exam candidates that fail write down the questions that were on their test BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE PARKING LOT OF THE EXAM CENTER?  You will see those same questions next time.

A exam candidate sees a test question like, "What does T.R.I.D. stand for?"  That license applicant has no idea what the answer is.  When would be a good time to learn what TRID is?  I say BEFORE you write that next $164 check.  It cost $164 the third time that you take the test.

I asked my young student if she bought the  "Guide to Passing the AMP Real Estate Exam" book that I had available for sale in out classroom.  I asked her if she bought the "Hiking The Real Estate Trail"  CD program by Terry Wilson that I had available for sale in the classroom.  This is as painless as learning can be.  It is nine CDs .  Terry tells you what you need to know to pass the exam.  Listen while you drive.  https://www.amazon.com/Hiking-Real-Estate-Trail-Trailhead/dp/1468090968

I asked my young student if she bought the math book I had available in class from 3 wise www.3WiseTeachers.com
If you are near Hendersonville, North Carolina , join us
teachers.  Many of my past students said it was a big help.

I asked my young student if she had read Appendix A in the textbook at least ten times. It would be a good idea to memorize Appendix A.   I asked her if she has watched my video that tells you exactly what is on the North Carolina real estate exam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4

If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, do not underestimate this exam.  It is expensive to fail.  You will have to study to pass.  Why not do your studying before you take the exam the first time?

North Carolina Real Estate Exam Pass Fail Statistics for April, 2018

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the pass fail statistics for the North Carolina real estate exam for April, 2018.   Seven hundred and eighty seven real estate license applicants attempted the North Carolina real estate exam for the first time in April.  Four hundred and ninety five of those exam candidates passed.  They all paid $164 for the opportunity.  www.ncrec.gov

That is a 63% pass rate.  That means that if you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, your odds of passing are 63%.  It costs $164 every time that you take the North Carolina real estate exam.  You can not afford a "practice run".  You want to pass the first time.

If you think you are ready for the North Carolina real estate exam, take my practice test at www.ncreexam.com .  There is a ten dollar fee.  If you want a good practice exam, this is cheaper than the North Carolina real estate exam.

Fifteen per cent of the one hundred and forty questions on the North Carolina real estate exam are arithmetic.   If you can not compute interest and pro rate taxes and rent and amortize a mortgage balance after two payments and determine square feet and ascertain value given NOI and capitalization rate and tell a buyer how much money to bring to closing and tell a seller how much he will take home, you need to master this math BEFORE you show up at the PSI test center with money in hand to take the North Carolina real estate exam.

The best way to be certain that you know how to do this math is to watch my North Carolina real estate math videos on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY&t=26s  There are a dozen of these videos.  There is no math on the North Carolina real estate exam that I do not have on You Tube.  If you encounter one, call me and tell me.  I will post it.

Take the time to watch these videos.  It is free.  It is easy.  You can make it a social affair.  Invite a few of you classmates over to watch with you.  Invite that guy that is shouting out the answer before you have your calculator turned on.

Most real estate test applicants study like they want to baaaaaaarely pass.  Study like you want to make 100% on the North Carolina real estate exam.  Help your classmates.  Tutor some of them that need help.  The best way to learn anything is to teach it.

If you are still in real estate school, ask your instructor that question that your neighbor does not want to ask because he is afraid that the teacher will embarrass him.  Read every word in the eight hundred page textbook.  Do every question at the end of the chapter.  Do the test in the back of the book.  Do the fifty question math test that is in the textbook.  I have the explanation to that on You Tube.

Read the "Comments" in the textbook.  There is a lot of test material from that.  Read the glossary in your textbook.

Stay in touch with your classmates.  Get your classmates contact information.  Find out when they are taking the exam.   Call them five hours later and congratulate them on passing.  That seems so tacky.  Did I mention that it cost $164 to take the North Carolina real estate exam every time that you take it.  That is tacky!

What do you think?  If your classmate had a question on his exam asking how many members of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission must be real estate brokers, could you possibly get the same question on your exam?  Maybe.  You would not discuss what was on the North Carolina real estate exam.  There is a skull and crossbones warning on the computer screen telling applicants NOT to discuss these confidential questions with anyone.  I am certain these questions are never discussed outside the PSI test center.
Stay in touch with your First Real Estate School classmates

Get to the test center early.  Relax.  Do not show up to take your exam after rushing in the traffic.  Read the glossary in the parking lot.  Leave a note pad on the seat of the car on top of your textbook.  If you come back to the car with a failure notice in your hand like 37% of the test candidates do, start writing down the questions that you saw that you did not know the answer to.   What is TRID?  What is the Conner act?  What is functional obsolesce? What is CFPB?  If you saw those questions today, you will probably see them again.  Do not go back at $164 per chance without knowing the answer to these questions.  Thumb through your textbook  to remind yourself.  Share this advice with your peers.  Send them a link to this article.

I have talked to students that have taken the exam five times and have never done this.  How many test do you think they have?  Write down what was on your test and start learning the answer to those questions.

I can think of a lot better way to spend $164 than to take the North Carolina real estate exam again.  Pass this exam the first time.  Help your classmates pass it the first time.

Ask Your Real Estate Instructor If You Have A Question

On my practice test for the North Carolina real estate exam at www.ncreexam.com , I have some moderately difficult questions.  Frequently, participants will leave a comment and question my answer.  For instance, yesterday, I received a comment concerning a question.  The student's comment was, " Question 36 asks which is the best deed for the grantor?  You said the answer is quit claim deed.  Our real estate instructor told us that the best deed is is the general warranty deed.  Which is correct?  My North Carolina real estate exam is tomorrow.  Please reply promptly."

I did not reply promptly.  This comment was two days old before I replied.  I sent the student an email and explained that the question asked which deed is best for the GRANTOR, not the grantee.  A quit claim imposes no liability on the grantor.  Therefore a quit claim deed is best for the grantor.

She replied, "Thanks for your reply.  I passed my North Carolina real estate test yesterday.  Your practice test was a big help.".  That was a happy ending.
If you can't reach your instructor, call a classmate

The reason I am writing this article is to suggest that, as well as contacting me via comments, that student should have also contacted her real estate instructor and asked her for help.

Most real estate instructors have time for a email or phone call.  You should have your instructor's contact information written in your real estate textbook.

When you call your instructor, be certain that you have the question EXACTLY and the choices.  You have paid your tuition.  Ask for help.

If you are reluctant to call your instructor, call a classmate.  Call that lady that raises her hand every time that the teacher asks a question.  If you do not have her contact info, please read my previous article, "http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html "

If you are reluctant to call your classmate, get over it.  Calling strangers and casual acquaintances is an essential skill to success selling real estate.  Your classmate will welcome your call .   I am certain.

Many of my classes form a Facebook group.  Ask there.  Your classmates will appreciate it.

Get help before you go take the North Carolina real estate exam.  It costs $164 to take it again.  The pass rate last month was sixty one per cent.  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2018/01/pass-fail-ratio-for-north-carolina-real.html  It costs $164 to take the North Carolina real estate exam again.  If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, try my practice test at www.ncreexam.com

If I Fail The North Carolina Real Estate Exam, Is It My Instructor's Fault

One of my pre license real estate students called me today to tell me that he had failed the state portion of the North Carolina real estate exam for the fourth time.  It costs $164 every time that you take that exam.

I asked him, "What was the first thing you did  after leaving the exam site with a failure notice in your hand?".  " I don't remember.", he replied.  " What did I recommend that you do before you crank up your car if you leave the exam with a failure notice ?", I asked.  He told me," I can not remember you telling us anything to do.".

Anyone that has sat in my real estate classroom for seventy five hours has been told what to do when you fail the North Carolina real estate exam. Anyone that can not remember this probably was not listening in class.  Do not sit in class and not listen.  You have taken time away from your family to attend class.  Listen and take notes.
Pass your North Carolina real estate exam the first time.

What does Ron climer want you to do when you fail the North Carolina real estate exam?  What does Ron Climer want you to do if you fail before you start your car in the parking lot of the test center?   Ron Climer wants you to leave a recorder or writing pad on the seat of the car before you go in the test center.  If you come out with a failure notice in your hand, start talking to that recorder or writing down every question that you saw that you did not know the answer to.

Tell yourself what you did not know.  You don't have to remember the whole question.  Just write down," What is the Machinery Act?".  "When can we close without using a TRID closing statement?" , " What does T.R.I.D. stand for?"  "How many members of the N.C.R.E.C. must be real estate brokers?"   If you can not remember, at least, half of the questions that were on your real estate test ten minutes later, no wonder you are having problems.

When you go back to take the real estate exam again at $164 per chance, you better know the answer to the ones that you did not know the answer to last time.  You will see them again.  Here is a tip.  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html   Read this article.

Have you read the "Comments"?   Have you read the "Comments"?  Have you read the "Comments"?  I hope you know what the "Comments" are.  In the ninth edition of Dearborn's textbook, "Modern Real Estate Practice in North Carolina"  the "Comments" are on page 614 through 637.  It is Appendix A.  It is practically an outline of the real estate exam.  If you want to know what is on the state portion of the test, read the "Comments".  Here is  a video to watch if you want more detail.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4

If you fail the North Carolina real estate exam, do not blame your instructor.  Do not blame the N.C.R.E.C.   Do not blame the AMP.  Even if it is your instructor's fault or the N,C.R.E.C. 's fault or AMP;s fault, who is effected most by your failure?   You are.  You are the one that has to pay $164 to take the test again. You are the one that has to keep studying.  You are the one that has to delay your career change until you solve this problem.

Turn off the T.V.   Sell your Playstation.  Study like you want to make 100% on the exam.  Forget about barely passing.  Study like you want to make a 100% so you can see your picture on the front of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's "Bulletin".

If you want to pass, do what your instructor suggests.  Do most students do this?

When computerized testing was new, I was teaching real estate classes in Florida.  I started telling my students that if they would bring a small box of chocolates to give to the test monitor and ask the monitor to give them the "easy" test , the monitor would give them the "easy" test.

I am not sure if this is true in North Carolina.  I know this.  When someone calls me and tells me that they failed, my first question is," Did you take the chocolates?".  The answer is always no.  Spend three bucks and take the chocolates.

If you think you are ready for the North Carolina real estate exam, take my practice test at www.ncreexam.com   .   Take my practice exam over and over until you are making a 98%.   Watch the videos that explain the answers.

If you can not amortize a mortgage, if you can not compute % of profit, if you can not compute square feet of a house with a bay window, if you can not compute a seller's proceeds at closing, if you can not compute how much a buyer brings to closing, if you can not determine value of a income producing property given appropriate capitalization rate and NOI , If you can not pro rate taxes and HOA fees, if you can not compute excise taxes, you need to watch my free You Tube videos that show you how to do the math that is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  You can't just hope that you won't get a question asking you to compute the interest rate when given the time and principal and interest paid of a loan.  It cost $164 to take the test again.  Here is a link to one of thirty videos that I posted  just to help you pass the first time.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3TtXSnMx9s

Between now and your exam date, if you get the urge to relax and watch TV, watch one of these thirty videos instead.  Invite a couple of your classmates over to watch with you.  Stay in touch with your classmates.

One last thing!   Go to the bank and get eight twenty dollar bills and four ones.  Tell your family that if you pass the exam the first time like 57% of the people do, we are taking this $164 out to dinner.  Here is a link to last month's pass fail statistics.  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2018/01/pass-fail-ratio-for-north-carolina-real.html

Get your family's support.  Let them know that this is not easy.  One hundred and sixty four dollars is a lot of money at my house.  Do not underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.  Please do not take any comfort in that barely  passing grade that you got at real estate school.

If you are anywhere near Hendersonville and you want to get a real estate license, contact First Real Estate School at www.firstrealestateschool.com or 828 440 1064.

Pass Fail Statistics for The North Carolina Real Estate Exam for January 2018

In January 2018, Five hundred and eighteen real estate license applicants attempted the North Carolina real estate exam.  Two hundred and fifty of these real estate test takers passed.  Two hundred and sixty eight of them will be paying $164 to the North Carolina Real Estate Commission to try again.  This is no easy test.  Last month's pass ratio was 48%.

All of these test applicants have graduated from an approved real estate school in North Carolina.  Why is the pass ratio so low?

When an applicant takes the North Carolina real estate exam, it is really two exams.  One hundred questions are what the North Carolina Real Estate Commission calls the national portion of the test.  An applicant has to get 72 of the 100 questions right to pass the national portion.  Forty questions are what the N.C.R.E.C. calls the North Carolina portion of the test.  An applicant has to get 29 of the 40 questions correct to pass both halves of the North Carolina real estate exam.  If an applicant fails either half of the exam, he can kiss $164 good bye.

Last month, 178 test applicants took the comprehensive exam as a repeater.  Twenty six of those applicants passed.  That is a fifteen per cent success rate.

Last month, fifty eight repeat test takers took the national portion of the North Carolina real estate exam for the second or third or fourth time.  Forty one passed.  That is a 71% pass rate.

Last month, Three hundred and thirty one repeaters took the North Carolina only test.  One hundred ninety one passed.  That is a 56% pass rate. It cost $164 every time an applicant attempts the test.

At $164 per opportunity, here is a  suggestion.   When you go to take the exam, leave a writing pad or recorder on the seat of your car.  If you show up back to your car with a failure notice in your hand, start writing down the questions that you did not know the answer to.  When you go back KNOW the answer to those questions.  If one of the questions was," How many members of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission must be real estate brokers?", do you think you may see that same question when you come back? Find out the answer before then.
Pass the North Carolina real estate exam the first time.

In North Carolina, if you have a real estate license in another state, you can take the North Carolina portion only of the test.  Pass it.  You can get your North Carolina real estate license without going to real estate school.  Last month, the pass rate for this adventure was 23%.  If you want to know if you are ready, take my practice exam at www.ncreexam.com .

Please do not underestimate this North Carolina real estate exam.  If you are soon taking this test, recognize that it is difficult.  Study!  Study!  Study!

Study your textbook.  Many students go take the $164 exam without reading the textbook.  That makes no sense.  Many students take the $164 exam even though they have not answered the questions at the end of the chapters in their textbooks.  Surprise!  Many of these students are paying $164 to try again.

If you have watched my video about what is on the North Carolina real estate exam, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4&t=119s ,   you know that the North Carolina real estate exam is fifteen per cent math.  Be certain that you can do any math that is on the exam.  There is no math on the exam that I don't have posted on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY&t=143s  Watch all of these videos if you are having trouble with the real estate math.

Stay in touch with you classmates.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY&t=143s  Talk to your classmates.  Call them and congratulate them on passing or invite them to your group study session if they did not pass.  Make passing the exam a group effort.

Pass Fail Ratio for The North Carolina Real Estate Exam for December, 2017

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the December 2017 statistics for the North Carolina real estate exam today.

Seven hundred forty seven real estate license applicants took the North Carolina real estate exam in December 2017.  Four hundred and fifty nine passed the comprehensive real estate exam.  That is a sixty one per cent pass rate.  That is the second best month in 2017.  The worst month in 2017 had a 52% pass rate.

The North Carolina real estate exam is not easy.  It is not cheap either.  Those applicants that did not pass will be back at the test center paying $164 to take this exam again.  Let me explain how the North Carolina real estate exam works.

When an applicants takes the North Carolina real estate exam the first time, there are 140 questions.  One hundred of the questions are in the "national"  portion of the test.  Forty of the questions are in the "North Carolina "  portion of the test.  The "national" portion of the exam is questions that are the same everywhere, like "What are the seven protected groups under the Fair Housing Act?".  A test applicant would need to get 71 of these questions correct.   Forty questions are on the "North Carolina "  portion of the test.  A test applicant would need to get 29 of these 40 questions correct to pass.  These are questions that are unique to North Carolina like, "How many members of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission must be a licensed real estate broker?".
The North Carolina real estate exam is not easy

If a real estate exam applicant fails either one of these portions of the North Carolina real estate  exam, that applicant will be back at the test center paying $164 to try again.

You may wonder how do the repeat test takers fare.  In December of 2017, forty three people took the "national"  portion for the second or third or fourth time.  Twenty eight license applicant passed.  That is a 65% pass rate.  Two hundred forty six applicants took the "North Carolina "   portion for the second, third or fifth time.  One hundred and thirty seven passed.  That is a 58% pass rate.

Do not underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam.

If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, practice on my practice real estate  exam at www.ncreexam.com   I have a practice exam for the "national" portion.  I have a practice exam for the "North Carolina" portion also.  You can take them as many times as you like.  I explain the answers on video.

If you are having any trouble with the real estate math that is on the North Carolina real estate test, I have a video posted on You Tube to help you.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM&t=94s  In fact, I have fifteen videos on You Tube to help you understand the real estate math that is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  The test is fifteen per cent math.  It is hard to pass if you can not do the arithmetic.  Watching these videos is the easiest way to learn the math.  Share these videos with your classmates.  It is free.  It is easy.

I have a free real estate practice exam at http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html   Take this exam like an exam.  If you are not passing this, you certainly will not pass the North Carolina real estate exam.

Help Passing The North Carolina Real Estate Exam In Asheville

Is the North Carolina real estate exam hard?  The North Carolina real estate exam is 140 multiple choice questions.  One hundred of the questions are what the test makers call "general " questions.  Forty of the questions are "North Carolina" questions.  To pass, a real estate test applicant has to get 71 of the 100 "general" questions correct and 29 of the 40 "North Carolina"   questions correct.

Last month, the pass rate for the exam was fifty nine per cent.  That means if 100 people took the exam, fifty nine passed.  Forty one exam applicants will be paying $164 to the North Carolina Real Estate Commission to try again.  I think it is important to pass the first time.
First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, North Carolina

Does it matter what real estate school you attend?  It is the instructor that matters.  Some are good.  Some are not so good.  How can you know if an instructor does a good job?  Read the real estate instructor's reviews on Facebook and Google.  Watch the videos that the instructor has posted on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY&t=70s

How long is the real estate broker's course in North Carolina?  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission requires the real estate broker's class to be seventy five hours long.  There is a lot of material to be learned.  You need to read the textbook.  You need to study outside the classroom.   You need to expose yourself to practice exams through out the course.  You need to get together with your class mates and study together. Here is a short example of why. http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html   Creating study groups is a wonderful helpful way to increase your learning effort.

After you pass your real estate school exam at First Real Estate School www.firstrealestateschool.com , you have to pass a 140 question exam given by AMP, a testing service contracted by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.  This is the exam with the 59% pass rate. http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/pass-fail-statistics-for-north-carolina.html .

Can I take the North Carolina real estate broker course online?  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission believes that real estate can not be learned on line.  You need to attend a brick and mortar real estate school with a live instructor licensed by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.  If you disagree with that opinion, feel free to contact them at www.ncrec.gov .  I am certain they would love to hear from you.

There are lots of study aids available online to help real estate students  pass their real estate course. Here is a word of caution.  If the "practice test" or "cram course" online is NOT from a North Carolina real estate school, be suspicious.   It likely has wrong information or useless information.  First Real Estate School in Hendersonville has a couple of practice exams that will help anyone that is soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam.  The free one is at http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html   and the ten dollar one is at www.ncreexam.com   Check those out if you are soon taking the test.

Is the math on the North Carolina real estate exam difficult?  Also posted online is my free You Tube real estate math videos to help anyone that is planning on passing the real estate test the first time.  The test is fifteen per cent math.  Many real estate instructors teach the math rather rapidly.  I have posted any math that you need to know on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM&t=80s   It is hard to pass the North Carolina real estate exam if you cannot do the math.  The cool thing about having it on You Tube is you don't have to raise your hand in class and ask questions.  Just hit rewind.  Any math that is on the exam, I have posted on You Tube.

Can I earn an extraordinary income selling real estate?  The answer to that is a very loud YES!   The real estate industry is full of people that spent twenty years earning a mediocre income.  Then they went to real estate school, got their real estate license , doubled their income and never looked back.

Almost all real estate is sold on commission.  If you want to earn $50,000 per year, you can do that in real estate.  If you want to earn $250,000 per year, you can do that as well.  How hard you work depends on how hard you want to work.  It is not the same answer for everyone.  The opportunity is there for anyone.

Real Estate Exam Prep Course

If you have passed your North Carolina real estate school exam, congratulations!  You still have to pass the North Carolina real estate exam given by AMP.  It costs $164 to take the North Carolina real estate exam the second time.  Pass it the first time.

Last month, fifty nine per cent of the real estate license applicants that attempted this test, passed it the first time.  Forty one per cent of the applicants will be paying $164 to try again.

One way for you to find out if you are ready for the North Carolina real estate exam is to take my practice exam at www.ncreexam.com .  This is not only a great practice exam.  It is a learning experience.

After you take the test, I come on video and explain the answers.  I have a practice test for the national portion of the North Carolina real estate exam.  I have a practice exam for the "North Carolina" only portion.  You have to pass both portions to get your North Carolina real estate license.  You can share the above link with your classmates.  Take my practice test BEFORE you go take the $164 AMP test in Asheville.
Paass your real estate exam the First time

Here is a suggestion.  Make passing the North Carolina real estate exam a group effort.  Share the above link with your classmates.  Share any helpful information that you find with your classmates.  If you bought the "Guide to Passing the AMP Real Estate Exam" from our website at www.firstrealestateschool.com ,  share that link with your classmates.  If you wasted your money on some bad stuff on the internet, let your classmates know that too.

With my practice test, you can invite several of your classmates over and take the practice exam together.  Watch the videos together.  You can take the practice exam as many times as you like.

Here is another suggestion.  Invite a few of your classmates over and watch my free You Tube videos to help you with the real estate math.  There is no math on the North Carolina real estate exam that I don't have on You Tube.  Here is an example.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4b78lDQtfE&t=411s   Many real estate instructors teach the real estate math waaaaaaay too fast. I teach it slow.  You don't have to raise your hand in front of twenty friends if you don't understand.  Just hit rewind.

I have received thank you letters from students from all over North Carolina thanking me for providing the free You Tube real estate math videos.  The North Carolina real estate exam is 15% arithmetic.  It is very difficult to pass if you can not amortize a mortgage or compute the seller's net check at closing  or tell the buyer how much cash to bring to closing or compute per cent of profit or compute interest or determine value when given capitalization rate and NOI or determine square feet of a house with a bay window.    I have a video posted for anything that is on the exam.

Tell your classmates about the free math videos.  Make passing the real estate exam a team sport.  Before your real estate class is over, get the contact information for your classmates.  Share information that you find online.  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission  has a website that is full of information to help you pass the exam.  www.ncrec.gov   Who would not appreciate information to help them pass?

After your classmates pass the North Carolina real estate exam, call and congratulate them.  Working together, studying together is a good thing.  Watching my You Tube videos together can be fun.  Please leave a comment at the end of this article.  Tell us some study methods that work for you.

If you are anywhere near downtown Hendersonville, First Real Estate School at 404 S. Main St.   would love to help you get your North Carolina real estate license.  828 440 1064
