North Carolina Real Estate Exam Pass Fail Statistics for May 2018

Yesterday, the North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the pass fail statistics for the North Carolina real estate exam for May.  Six hundred and eighty six real estate license applicants took the exam in May.  Three hundred and ninety three passed.  That is a 57% pass rate.   They all paid $164 for the experience. This North Carolina real estate exam is no picnic.   Two hundred and ninety three of those real estate license applicants will be paying $164 to take the North Carolina real estate exam for the second time.   This exam is not easy.  It is not  inexpensive either.

Yesterday, I received a sad email from one of my recent  First Real Estate School graduates in Hendersonville.  www.firstrealestateschool.com .  She told me that she took the North Carolina real estate exam in Asheville.  She told me that she felt that she was prepared.  She told me that she missed the general portion of the exam by five points.  She missed the North Carolina section by five points.  She asked me if I had any additional study aids that could help her pass on her second attempt at the North Carolina real estate exam.

I replied to her email.  I asked her if she had taken my practice exam at www.ncreexam.com .  I asked her if she had watched ALL of my free North Carolina real estate math videos on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY  Why would anyone go pay $164 to take the North Carolina real estate test if they don't know how to amortize a mortgage when given principal balance and monthly payments and interest rate?

If you don't know how to:

compute excise tax
compute seller's net check
compute buyer's cash to close
compute commission
compute value when given NOI and capitalization rate
compute adjusted basis for an investor
compute square feet of a house with a bay window
compute per cent of profit
pro rate taxes and rent and HOA fees
compute adjustments for CMA
compute equity dividend rate
compute price per acre when given price and lot dimensions

when would be a good time to learn?  Before or after you pay $164 to "try" the North Carolina real estate exam?   I think before!  All of this is on You Tube.  It is free.  You know you are going to see these arithmetic questions on the exam.  Turn off the TV.  Turn off Facebook.  Turn on You Tube.
North Carolina real estate exam is not easy

Why don't students call their classmates and ask them what was on their exam when they took it yesterday?  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html   Why don't real estate exam candidates that fail write down the questions that were on their test BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE PARKING LOT OF THE EXAM CENTER?  You will see those same questions next time.

A exam candidate sees a test question like, "What does T.R.I.D. stand for?"  That license applicant has no idea what the answer is.  When would be a good time to learn what TRID is?  I say BEFORE you write that next $164 check.  It cost $164 the third time that you take the test.

I asked my young student if she bought the  "Guide to Passing the AMP Real Estate Exam" book that I had available for sale in out classroom.  I asked her if she bought the "Hiking The Real Estate Trail"  CD program by Terry Wilson that I had available for sale in the classroom.  This is as painless as learning can be.  It is nine CDs .  Terry tells you what you need to know to pass the exam.  Listen while you drive.  https://www.amazon.com/Hiking-Real-Estate-Trail-Trailhead/dp/1468090968

I asked my young student if she bought the math book I had available in class from 3 wise www.3WiseTeachers.com
If you are near Hendersonville, North Carolina , join us
teachers.  Many of my past students said it was a big help.

I asked my young student if she had read Appendix A in the textbook at least ten times. It would be a good idea to memorize Appendix A.   I asked her if she has watched my video that tells you exactly what is on the North Carolina real estate exam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4

If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, do not underestimate this exam.  It is expensive to fail.  You will have to study to pass.  Why not do your studying before you take the exam the first time?

How to Choose The Best Real Estate School in North Carolina

Is the location of a real estate school important?  It certainly is.  You need to consider how far you are willing to drive to real estate school.  How far is the real estate school from where you live?

What about price?  Is that important?  Unless you have money to burn, price is important.  First Real Estate School at 404 S.  Main Street in Hendersonville charges $300 for the basic pre license class that is required by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission to get your North Carolina real estate license.  That price includes the textbook.  https://www.dearborn.com/product_updates/just-released-modern-real-estate-practice-in-north-carolina-9th-edition/

What about the instructor?  That would seem like the most important thing to me.  Is the instructor dull?   Is the instructor monotone?    Is the instructor condescending?  Does he know his stuff?  How can you know the answer to these questions?
First Real Estate School in western North Carolina

Watch him or her teach on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4&t=377s  You Tube is not new.  I have over 100 videos posted on You Tube to help people pass the North Carolina real estate exam,.  I get thank you emails from real estate students all over North Carolina thanking me for having these real estate math videos available.

You can watch these videos before you show up in class.  You will know if I am the kind of instructor that you would like to spend seventy five hours with.  If you are soon taking a real estate class, find out who the instructor is.  Check him or her out.

If he is dull boring and condescending, it will be a long 75 hour real estate class.  There is not much titillating material in a real estate textbook.  A good instructor can make it better or worse.

If you live anywhere near Hendersonville, North Carolina and need a real estate course, check out First Real Estate School.  www.firstrealestateschool.com   We would love to help you get your North Carolina real estate license.

What About Those "Trick" Questions on The North Carolina Real Estate Exam in Asheville?

When I was in high school, getting my driver's license was the most important thing.  In those days in Orlando, the Highway Patrol did not give the driving test on the real highway.  They had a private course.

Almost all of my peers and classmates failed the driving test the first time.  Here is why.

Near the end of the test, the student came upon a strip of road with two traffic cones in the right lane.  The Highway Patrolman would instruct the applicant to pull into the left lane and parallel  park between the traffic cones.
Stay in touch with your real estate school classmates

After the test applicant was successful, the patrolman would instruct the applicant to leave the "parking place"  and drive to the stop sign that was about three hundred feet away. Then turn left.

The problem was when you pulled out of the traffic cones, you were in the wrong lane.  Almost everyone would drive to the stop sign in the left (wrong) lane.  Since that was a violation of the traffic law, the applicant automatically failed the exam.

I passed my driving test the first time.  Why?  Because my friends that took the test before me told me about this "trick" question before I took the test.  What a novel idea!

There are trick questions on the North Carolina real estate exam.  Stay in touch with your classmates.

If you think you are ready for the North Carolina real estate exam, try my practice exam at www.ncreexam.com .  If you need a good real estate school in Hendersonville, contact us at www.firstrealestateschool.com .

In Real Estate School in Hendersonville, Stay In Touch With Your Classmates

The pass rate for the North Carolina real estate exam, last month, was 57%.  The exam is no joke.  It costs $164 to take it again.  We can all agree that one sitting is enough.  Read this article .  Your chances of passing on the first attempt will be better.

If you are soon to be or currently enrolled in real estate school anywhere in North Carolina, get in touch and stay in touch with your classmates.  Pass around a paper and get everyone's contact information.  Make 40 copies and share it with the class.  Why do I want you to do that?    The class that studies together, passes together.   Making passing the North Carolina real estate exam a team sport.

Form study groups.  Study together one night or two nights per week.  At Keller Williams Realty in Hendersonville, where I work, we often have a volunteer instructor get together unofficially with people that are soon to take the test.  Don't wait for someone else to organize this.  Organize it.

Often, one of my students will form a Facebook page just for this class.  At First Real Estate School, we have a Facebook page.  We encourage the students to use our page to communicate and get together to study. Let your classmates know that you want to get together outside of class and study together.

Ask your classmates to post links to study aids that find online.  Some are good.  Some are bad.  Some are free.  Some cost money.  When you find a good one, share it with your classmates.  Invite a few fellow students that are having math problems over and watch my free You Tube videos.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM&t=80s    There is no math on the North Carolina real estate exam that I do not have posted on You Tube.

If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, take my practice test first.  www.ncreexam.com   After you take the test, I go over the answers with an explanation on video.  Ask your classmates to post links to worthwhile study aids or warn us about bad study aids that they find online.

Make passing the school test and the North Carolina real estate exam a group effort.  After class in over, stay in touch with your classmates.  Post on Facebook and Twitter that you passed.  Tell us where you went to work.  Send a group email to let us know that you passed the state exam.  Congratulate your peers when they pass.  Ask your newly licensed classmates if they encountered any strange material that the instructor did not cover like who is the new leader of the CFPB.  They would not ask that on the state exam.  Would they?  No they would not but they may ask what is the CFPB.  If you know the answer, please leave it in the comments.
Stay in touch with your real estate school classmates

Let your peers know where you chose to work and why.

At First Real Estate School www.firstrealestateschool.com in Hendersonville, I make an effort to let my students know that they would be welcome to join me at Keller Williams Mountain Partners in Hendersonville.  Many of them do.  An equal amount find that it is not a good fit for them.  That is OK.

Encourage your classmates.  Contact them and offer them help.  Contact your classmates if you need help.  This is no time to be proud or shy.  Nine out of ten of your classmates will
be happy to help you,  We learn best what we teach.  When you help someone understand mortgage amortization , you usually end up understanding it better yourself.

You are familiar with car pooling.  That is when four of us get in our neighborhood in  one car and go to school.  It saves everyone a little bit of money.  It is usually more fun than riding in alone.  You can "car pool"  expensive study aids.  One of my students bought a one hundred dollar course state exam review class on line.  He invited three of his classmates over to watch it on his computer .  Each of the three gave him $25.  That is a WIN WIN .  You could do the same thing with a CD audio program.  We sell a CD audio program at First Real Estate School to help the students pass the first time.  There are nine Cds.  Often two students will share the expense.  One students takes half of the  CDs and the other students takes half.  They trade throughout class.  Car pooling works.

Forty students could get together and make 400 flashcards.  One student makes ten flashcards on deeds.  One student makes ten flashcards on mortgages.  One student makes ten flashcards on agency.  Very quickly , we have 40 sets of flashcards.  Every one passes.

Get together with your classmates.  Make passing a group activity.  Do not wait for a leader to show up.  Be a leader.

Pass Fail Statistics for The North Carolina Real Estate Exam in October 2017

How difficult is the North Carolina Real Estate exam?   In October of 2017,  six hundred and three real estate license applicants attempted this difficult exam. Three hundred and twenty seven passed.  That is a fifty four per cent pass rate.  Two hundred and seventy four real estate license applicants will be paying $164 to the North Carolina Real Estate Commission to try again.

How do these repeat test takers fare?  In October, forty one test takers took the national portion of the North Carolina real estate exam for the second or third or fourth time.  Twenty six of these applicants passed.  Two hundred forty three real estate license applicants took the North Carolina portion of the real estate exam for the second or third or fifth time at $164 per attempt.  That is a 59% pass rate.  This test is not easy.  This test is not inexpensive.

If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, study like there is a $164 prize if you make 100% .  Study like you want to make a 100%.  Most people study like they want to make a 75%.  If you barely passed your real estate school exam, you had better study a lot more for the North Carolina real estate exam.

What can you do??  Let's start with the easy stuff.  You can watch my free real estate math videos on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM&t=23s   Real estate math is 15% of the North Carolina real estate exam.  If you can not do the math, that is a pretty big handicap.  There is no math on the North Carolina real estate exam that I do not have posted on You Tube.  There is really no excuse for NOT knowing how to do any problem that you encounter.  Do not expect to pass the North Carolina real estate exam if you can not do the math.  Watching my free You Tube videos is, by far, the easiest way to learn the math.  Invite you classmates over.  Cook some popcorn.  Watch math videos.

Another thing that anyone can do to be certain that you pass your North Carolina real estate exam the first time is read your textbook.  You may have passed your real estate school test without reading your textbook about agency and deeds and contracts and fair housing.  You are unlikely to pass the North Carolina real estate exam without reading the textbook.  Have you answered all the questions in the back of the chapters?  If not, I suggest that you do before paying $164 to take the North Carolina real estate exam.
Pass your North Carolina real estate exam the FIRST time

Did you buy the book," Guide to Passing the AMP Real Estate Exam" ?  It is published by Dearborn, the same people that publishes your textbook.  Will it help?  It has almost a thousand questions written in the same format that the North Carolina real estate exam questions are written in. Yes, it will help.  You can buy it from your instructor or you can find it it on my website at www.firstrealestateschool.com   If you did nothing but read the glossary of this book, it would help you pass the North Carolina real estate exam.

What else can you do to insure that you will pass the North Carolina real estate exam the first time?  Take my one hundred  question practice exam at www.ncreexam.com  .  This is, not only, a practice exam.  It has a video explanation of why the answers are the answers.  Check this out.  If you do not pass my practice exam, you will likely not pass the real thing.

Study.  Study.  Study.  Many people fail the North Carolina real estate exam by a  point or two.  Those people pay $164 to take the test again.  An equal amount of people probably pass by a point or two.  Those people are issued a real estate license and start a new career.  In which group do you want to be?

OH, I almost forgot.  In October, ninety three Realtors from other states attempted to get a North Carolina real estate license by taking a forty question North Carolina only test.  Thirty four of these applicants passed.  That is a 37% pass rate.  Almost all of these test takers mistakenly believed that what they knew from their home state would help them pass this exam.  If you want to know what is on this test, take my practice test at www.ncreexam.com for North Carolina only.

If you are anywhere near Hendersonville and interested in getting a real estate license , call me at 828 440 1064.  We teach pre license real estate courses and we teach post license classes.

Pass Fail Statistics for The North Carolina Real Estate Exam for September 2017

Today, the North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the pass fail results for the September real estate exam.  Four hundred thirty three real estate license  applicants  paid to take the North Carolina real estate exam in September.  All of these applicants have graduated from a North Carolina real estate school.  Two hundred fifty of these applicants passed.  That is a 59% pass rate.  One hundred eighty of these real estate license applicants will be paying $164 to take this North Carolina real estate exam again.

In September of 2017, one hundred sixty three applicants took the North Carolina real estate exam for the second or third or fourth or fifth time.  It costs $164 every time.  Thirty five of those applicants were happy with their results.  That is a 21% pass rate.  If you are soon taking this test, practice on my practice exam at www.ncreexam.com

The North Carolina real estate exam is fifteen per cent math.  Any math that is on the North Carolina real estate exam. is posted on You Tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD5T8VhUpxU&t=390s   I have a dozen videos showing you exactly how to do the math that is  on the North Carolina real estate exam.  What could you possibly have to do that is more important?  Turn the television off.  Go watch these videos on You Tube.  Invite your classmates over to join you.  It costs $164 every time you take the North Carolina real estate exam.  The videos are free.
It costs $164 to take North Carolina real estate exam again.

In North Carolina, if you have an active license in another state, you do not have to attend a North Carolina real estate school.  Check out the details at www.ncrec.gov .  All you have to do is PASS a forty question exam.  That seems simple enough.  In September, 2017,  eighty two attempts by out of state licensees yielded twenty seven successful applicants.   That is a 33% success rate.

If you are soon taking this test, use my practice test as practice www.ncreexam.com The biggest problem that out of state people have is the false belief that what they know from their home state will help them with this North Carolina only exam.  What is the likelihood that an out of state applicants would know how many members are on the North Carolina Real Estate Commission?  How many of those members have to be real estate brokers?   There is little or nothing that they learned in their home state that will help them on this exam.

If you live anywhere near Hendersonville, North Carolina, First Real Estate School would love to help you get your real estate license.  Our website is www.firstrealestateschool.com .   Our phone is 828 440 1064.

Let's Not Underestimate the Enemy, The North Carolina Real Estate Exam

Can you imagine two fighters getting into the ring.  One fighter has defeated forty five per cent of the fighters that got in the ring with him.  If you were the other fighter, how much would you train?

This is your situation if you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam.  This exam, last month, defeated 45% of North Carolina real estate exam applicants.  Forty five per cent of the test takers will be coming back and paying $91 to try again.  The bad news is  that their odds are worse the second time they take the North Carolina real estate exam.  Don't be in that group.  Be in the 55% that passed the North Carolina real estate exam the first time.  How do you do that?
Over Study for the North Carolina Real Estate Exam

Study,Study,Study  Most students set themselves a goal to barely pass the exam.  If your goal is to pass, and you miss you will be back.  If you set yourself a goal to make 100%, if you miss you still have a North Carolina real estate license.

Over study.  Study too much.  Study in the morning.  Study at night.  Study during lunch.  Get together with your classmates and study.  Study alone.  Study during commercials.  Study at church.  Study at work clandestinely.

Look on line for any help that you can find.  You will quickly find my free You Tube videos to help you with the math that is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  Watch these videos.  Do the math with me.  Real estate math is 15% of the North Carolina real estate exam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM    It is really hard to pass if you can not compute acres when given lot dimensions.  You are in trouble if you can not amortize a mortgage when given interest rate and P&I payments and mortgage balance.  If you can not pro rate taxes and rent, learn how before you go pay your money to take the North Carolina real estate exam.  It costs $91 to take the exam the second time.  Once is enough.

Do not underestimate this North Carolina real estate exam.  Take my practice exam at http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html    Take my  state exam review at www.northcarolinaexamreview.com   It is not free but it is well worth the $99 investment.  Pass this exam the first time.

The North Carolina Real Estate Exam, Pass It The First Time.

If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, heed this advice.  Last month, I had a man call me from Fayetteville.  That is a long way from Hendersonville.  He had failed the North Carolina portion of the North Carolina real estate exam eleven times.  Compute his expense on that adventure.

He was calling me looking for advice.  He had watched my free North Carolina real estate math videos on You Tube.  He had read some of my articles.  I could feel the frustration in his voice.  He claimed that he had studied.  Here is the advice that I gave him.  I want to give you the same advice.

Ron Climer, Instructor at First Real Estate School
If you are paying $64 to take the North Carolina real estate exam, plan on passing.  Be prepared if you do not pass.  Leave a legal pad and a pen on the seat of your car.  If you fail, before you start the car, write down as many questions as you can remember.  This information is gold.  It is never going to be fresher in your mind.

You do not have to write down the whole question.  Write the concept.  Do you need a license to advertise a auction?  When to deposit escrow check?  What is heated living area?  When do I have to take post license course?  When does license expire?  If you take the test eleven times, you will probably see some of these questions again.  Take you textbook and thumb through it.  Remind yourself of concepts.

If you saw words on the exam that you did not know what they meant, write them down.  Look them up in the glossary or dictionary.

Sixty one per cent of the applicants passed the North Carolina real estate exam the first time last month.  Thirty nine per cent need to follow my advice.  Thirty nine per cent will be paying $$$$$$ to take the North Carolina real estate exam again.

Only 27% of repeat test takers passed last month..  If you are taking the exam for the second time, follow this advice.  Your odds of passing are four to one against you.

STUDY STUDY STUDY If you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam or your real estate school test for the first time soon, watch my free North Carolina real estate math videos.  There are a dozen of them.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM     Here is a link to one.  Take my free practice test after your real estate class is almost over.  Take any other practice tests that you can find.

Get in touch with your classmates.  Study together.  Encourage each other.  Share study aids and tips that you find.  (like this article or my math videos)

Make flash cards.  Trade them with your classmates.  Make a deal with your classmate.  I will make fifty flashcards.  You make fifty flashcards.  We will trade flashcards Tuesday night.  Next Tuesday, we will trade back.   Make copies and do this with several friends.
First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, North Carolina

At my Toastmasters club,http://fourseasonstoastmasters.com/ we always have a "word of the day" that we are expected to use during the weekly meeting.  Last week's word was salient.  Go to each chapter in your textbook and pick out the ten most salient points of the chapter.  Study these points.  That is what test writers do.  They want to test you on the salient ideas.

Do not underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam. Last month's pass rate was 61%.  This is not an easy test.  Turn off the TV.  Turn off Facebook.  Turn on the study machine.  Pick up your textbook.  Watch my You Tube videos.

If you live anywhere near Hendersonville, North Carolina, take you basic real estate course from First Real Estate School at 404 S. Main Street.  www.firstrealestateschool.com   If you wonder why our tuition is so low, it is because we are subsidized.  Here is a video to explain that.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1EpyxI_Gkg   Join us.  Call us.  Tell your friends.

Lessons Learned in The Watermelon Field

A lot of lives are changed in a real estate class.  At First Real Estate School, we graduated another class yesterday.

In real estate class there is a great variety of students.  There are young folks in their twenties.  Often we have folks well into their sixties.
First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, North Carolina

Some people come to real estate school for a career change.  Some people just want to earn a few extra bucks.  Some people concentrate on passing real estate school.  Other people have so much other stuff going on in their lives that they barely have time for real estate school.

It is hard, as an instructor, to know how much effort a student is investing outside of class.  Some students learn well in a classroom.  Some do not.

As an instructor, I promise my students that I will do my part.  I promise my students that I will present the material that they need to learn.  I can not make learning the four basic kinds of deeds as interesting as your favorite hobby.

I often tell a story during the first night of class about my early days working on the farm.  When I was 14 and 15 and 16 years old, I spent my summers working on a farm in Gainesville, Florida.  In June, we loaded watermelons from sun up to sundown.  It was hard work.

Watermelons grow on vines like pumpkins.  We would go out in the field and cut the melons from the vine and stack them at the edge of the field in rows.  We would drive a big straight truck down the rows and throw the melons into the truck.  My job was to pick up a thirty pound watermelon and throw it over the sideboards of the truck, about seven feet high.  There was another guy in the truck.  His job was to catch the watermelon that I had thrown and gently, neatly stack it in the truck. This relationship worked fine as long as I did my part of the job and threw the melons high enough for him to catch.  As the day wore on, I became more tired.  Sometimes, I did not quite  throw the watermelons high enough.  That would cause the guy on the truck to have to "reach" down for the watermelon.  It would not take much of that before the guy on the truck would get tired of "reaching".  If the catcher had to "reach" down, it was because the thrower was not doing his job properly.  The catcher would reach for a couple.  Usually about the third one that came up short, he would not reach for it.  That thirty pound melon would come falling on my head. As a thrower, I learned very quickly to do my part of the job.  Do it properly.  The catcher might reach once or twice.  He will not reach forever.

This is how I feel as an instructor.  I will do my part.  I will do my part properly.

If the student is absent from class, I can't throw that high.  If the student won't read the textbook, I can not throw that high.  If the student is distracted with personal problems and "life" , I can't throw that high.  If the student is too busy to do their homework, I can't throw that high.

I promise I will do my part.  I will throw the watermelons high enough.  I can not do the student's part for them.

North Carolina Real Estate Exam Pass Fail Statistics for August 2016

Today, the North Carolina Real Estate Commission released last months pass fail ratios for the North Carolina real estate exam.  In August 2016, four hundred and eighty one real estate license applicants attempted the comprehensive exam for the first time.  Two hundred and ninety five of those applicants passed.

One hundred thirty two real estate license applicants took the comprehensive exam for the second or third or fourth or fifth attempt.  Thirty of those repeat test takers passed.  That is a twenty three per cent pass rate for the repeaters.  This North Carolina real estate exam is no picnic.  It is serious business.  It costs ninety one dollars to take this exam as a repeater.  I can think of better ways to spend ninety one bucks.

First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, North Carolina
If you have failed the North Carolina real estate exam, here is a suggestion.  Go to www.northcarolinaexamreview.com .  Take my video review class for the North Carolina real estate exam.  It is a $100 investment.

If you are looking for some free help for the North Carolina real estate exam given in Asheville, watch my FREE real estate math videos.  Any arithmetic that is on the North Carolina real estate exam is on one of my videos. It is free.  It is easy.  The North Carolina real estate test is 15% math.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAX8VxAGkrI  Here is another tip that will help you pass the North Carolina real estate exam.

Place a legal pad and a pen on the seat of your car before you go in to take the North Carolina real estate exam. IF YOU FAIL, before you crank up the car, write down as many questions as you can remember.  This info will never be fresher in your mind than it is right now.  Leave your textbook on the front seat.  Thumb through it.  Was there a question about RESPA?  Write that down.  Was their a question about discrimination?  Write that down.  Was there a math problem about computing interest?  Write it down.  You don't have to get all the details.  Write down some questions before you leave the parking lot.  When you get home, look the answers up in your real estate textbook.  You will see these same concepts again .

Many, many test applicants underestimate the North Carolina real estate exam. Do not underestimate the difficulty of this test.  Overestimate it!  This test is not a pushover.  Over study.  Watch my free math videos.  Get together with your classmates.  Make flashcards.  Turn off the T.V.  Take my video review class.  Ninety one dollars is a lot of money to waste.

It must feel yucky to fail by one or two points.  You can not help but think," If I had watched one more video, I would have known how many square feet in an acre."  You do not want to have that feeling.

A Recipe for Passing The North Carolina Real Estate Exam The First Time

One hundred per cent of the people that pay $64 to take the North Carolina real estate exam in Asheville for the first time want to pass.  Last month,(May 2016) fifty seven per cent of the first time real estate test candidates left the exam site with a smile on their faces.  Forty three per cent of those exam candidates failed.  The repeat exam candidates did even worse.  Only twenty six per cent of repeaters passed.  The North Carolina real estate exam is tough.

Here are a few things you can do to be certain that you are smiling when you leave the real estate exam site.
Attending class increases your likelihood of passing

Start by attending real estate class 100% of the classes.  If you paid your $300 tuition, attend class.  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission says that you can miss 15 hours of the 75 hour course.  If you miss ten per cent of the class, that is ten per cent of the material presented by the real estate instructor that you missed.  Attend class.  It is a simple thing to do.  Pay attention in class.

Read the textbook.   If you failed the North Carolina real estate exam and you have not read the textbook, you have a right to be disappointed.  You do not have a right to be surprised.  Reading the textbook is pass insurance.  Read the textbook.  Read every word in the textbook.  Do all the practice exams in the textbook.

First Real Estate School has posted several videos on You Tube to help anyone understand the real estate math that is on the exam.  These   videos are free.  They cover problems that you will encounter on the exam.  There are fifteen math questions on the North Carolina real estate exam.  Why would you go spend your $64 if you do not know how to prorate taxes and HOA dues?  Why would you spend your $64  to take the North Carolina real estate exam if you don't know how to compute interest or excise tax?  Why would you spend $64 to take the exam if you can not compute the number of acres in a rectangular lot?  You know these questions are going to be on the exam.  It says so in the book.  I assume you have all read the book, "Real Estate Licensing in North Carolina".  If not, watch this video.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4
This video will show you how to get the information about what is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  You need to be able to do the math that is on the test.  It is not hard to sit and watch a ten minute video.

Many North Carolina real estate exam candidates have what seems to me a strange attitude.  Many candidates tell me that they do not want to make 100% on the exam.  They just want to pass.  It would seem to me that setting a goal to make 100% on the exam would be a better plan.  If you set a goal to make 100% on the exam and you miss and only make an 80%, that is OK.  If you set a goal to make a 72%, barely pass and you miss by one point, you are back paying $64 to take the exam again.  Set yourself a goal to make 100% on the exam.  Study like you intend to make 100%.  It is an attitude.  You only have to pass this exam once in your life.

Take practice exams. Take any practice exams that you can find.  I like free ones.  I have a free one right here on this blog at http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html   Take this practice test if you think you are ready for te big one.

North Carolina Real Estate Exam Pass Fail Statistics for June 2016

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the pass fail statistics for the June North Carolina real estate exam.

Five hundred North Carolina real estate exam candidates paid $64 to take the North Carolina real estate exam in June.  Three hundred and twelve
First Real Estate School in Hendersonville, North Carolina
passed.  That is one hundred and eighty eight
applicants that will be back down at the PSI test
center paying $64 to take the exam again.  That is a 62% pass rate.

In June, one hundred and seventy three repeat test takers took the North Carolina real estate exam for the  second or third or forth attempt.  Forty three of the repeat exam applicants passed.  That is a 25% pass rate for repeaters at the North Carolina real estate exam.

Please, if you are soon taking the North Carolina real estate exam, do not underestimate this exam.

Study like it is the most important thing that you have to do.  Read your text book.  Do all the practice real estate exam questions that you can find.  First Real Estate School has a free practice test online at http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2015/04/real-estate-practice-exam-for-north.html

Watch my free real estate math videos to help you with the math that is on the North Carolina real estate exam.  There is no longer a HUD 1 closing statement to balance but there is still plenty of math on the exam.  You still have to compute interest.  You still have to compute excise tax and before tax cash flow.  You still have to compute a commission.  You still have to determine how many acres in a rectangular lot.  If you don't know how to do these things, you could easily be in that bottom 38% of applicants that take the exam more than once.  Watch my math videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMdJ-2iHepM

Any arithmetic that is on the North Carolina state exam is on my videos

The North Carolina Real Estate Exam , A Tip To Pass It The First Time

There are several things you can do to be certain that you pass the North Carolina real estate exam the first time.  It is important to pass the first time.  It costs $64 to take the North Carolina real estate exam every time you take it.

One of the most important things you can do to be certain you pass the first time is to schedule  the North Carolina real estate exam as soon as possible after real estate class is over.
Mary Massie and Tom Mosher have already passed the state exam

I finished a real estate class at First Real Estate School in Hendersonville on June 26.  I had urged the students to apply for their background checks long before real estate class was over.  One hundred per cent of the class took my advice.

When the real estate class was over on Sunday morning, one class member set a North Carolina real estate exam date for July 2nd, the following Saturday.  He sent an email to the class letting them know that there was another slot open on Saturday.  One of his classmates got that slot at the Asheville test center.  He and his classmate passed on July 2nd.  Another classmate got a test date for July 6th.

The nature of the North Carolina real estate exam is that you learn things that are on the North Carolina real estate exam that you may never use in real life.  If you don't use it , you lose it. You start forgetting the things I teach you the minute you leave class.   If three or four weeks elapse between your real estate class graduation and your North Carolina real estate exam, you are going to forget how many acres in a section or what "matched pair analysis" is.  http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2016/06/comparative-market-analysis-on-north.html

Get to the North Carolina real estate exam as soon as possible after you leave real estate school.  In order to do this, you have to order your background check before  real estate class is over.  There is a fee for that.  Do not wait until you have passed the real estate school test to order your background check.  It takes several days.  Have it finished before class is over.

I am flabbergasted and amazed at the advice that some people give potential North Carolina real estate exam candidates.  I am equally amazed at the advice the candidates dream up and give themselves.  I am certain this is your best advice.  The sooner you get to the North Carolina real estate exam after real estate school, the more likely you are to pass.
