Did you read yesterday's blogpost here on Ron Climer Mountain Messages? I suggested that a new Realtor should set some "prospect traps". Prospect traps attract prospects. The best prospect trap known to man is a good listing. A blog or a You Tube channel is probably a close second.
What if you started a blog? What if you wrote articles that would be of interest to real estate prospects? What if you wrote an article entitled," Five Ways To Invest $100,000" ? Who would read that article? maybe someone that had $100,000 would read that article. You could suggest putting the money in a FDIC account at the bank. You could suggest the stock market. You could suggest buying mutual funds. You could suggest loaning it to a relative with no collateral. You could suggest buying a four unit building with a cash on cash return of 25%. What if someone read that article and decided investing in real estate makes sense. They call you. A month later, you are sitting at the closing table.
Do you have a You Tube channel? Do you want a prospect trap? A You Tube channel is a great prospect trap. Just for fun, google 'Best Jamaican real estate agent in Orlando, Florida' Who comes up? How did Vince do that? Can you do that? Google 'best real estate agent in Your neighborhood' Who comes up ? With a you Tube channel and just a little knowledge, the answer can be you in a couple of weeks. What would you do with a bunch of prospects that called you after they saw your video about why you love your neighborhood so much?
The name of this article is why I want you to start a blog. The answer is because blogs are prospect traps and you will make a lot of money . How many reasons can you think of NOT to start a blog? Almost all Realtors hate to call prospects. Change that. All sales people hate to call prospects. Start a blog today and the prospects will start calling you. A well written article will send prospects to you for years. A well done video may send prospects to you many years into the future. They are prospect traps.
Did your sales trainer suggest this? Is your sales trainer blogging? Does he have a You Tube Channel? If this did not work, I would not be doing it. It works. Start a blog today. Trap some prospects or call a prospect.
