Florida Real Estate Exam, A Tutor for You

I  have been teaching real estate license classes for a long, long time.  Teaching to a group of thirty to fifty real estate students has some built in pitfalls.  One of these pitfalls is feedback.  I may explain a point.  A student does not quite understand what I thought I explained perfectly.  Will that confused student ask me to explain again or ask me a question?

Rarely!   Why is this true?  The student is afraid of being embarrassed.  The student is afraid that the teacher will embarrass them.  Or worse, one of their classmates will embarrass them.

One solution to this problem is to NOT ask questions.  That is a bad solution.  It does not take my students long to realize that I will never embarrass them in class.

Another solution to this dilemma is one on one tutoring.  When I tutor a student, there is only the student and me.  If I ask a student,"Do you understand?", I know that they are telling me the truth. In a classroom with thirty five other real estate students, this is not true.  Students will say that they understand when they do not.

My daughter, Karen Climer, is excellent real estate tutor.  She has helped many real estate exam applicants pass the Florida real estate exam in Orlando.

The pass rate for the Florida real estate exam is slightly over 50%.  Almost half of Florida real estate license applicants pay to take the exam a second or third time.  Many of Karen's tutoring clients don't call her until they have failed the Florida real estate exam.  Karen has an extraordinary sense of what is on the Florida real estate exam.

Karen has been a real estate instructor since 2003.

If you want to pass the Florida real estate exam the first time, call Karen at 407 493 3974.  She teaches one on one or small groups.  http://floridarealestateinstructor.com/about-karen-climer/   She blogs about passing the Florida real estate exam.  She has tips on You Tube.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erGSsTBXatc&t=3s

Do not underestimate the Florida real estate exam.

Pass Fail Statistics For the North Carolina Real Estate Exam for March, 2018

Hooray!  The news is good.  The North Carolina Real Estate Commission released the pass fail statistics for March 2018 today.  It is the best pass ratio in twelve months.  The worst was January of 2018 with a whopping 48% pass rate.  The North Carolina real estate exam is not easy.

In March of 2018, seven hundred and fifty three real estate license candidates attempted the North Carolina real estate comprehensive exam for the first time.  Four hundred and ninety one of those applicants passed.  That is a 65% pass rate.  WOW!   That is the best pass rate in a long time.

I think the reason for the improvement is the $164 re take fee that the North Carolina Real Estate Commission charges people that take the real estate exam for the second time.  I constantly tell my students at First Real Estate School in Hendersonville that it costs $164 every time you take the North Carolina real estate exam.  That is a lot of money in my neighborhood.

I urge my students to study like you intend to make a 100% on the real estate exam.  Don't study like you intend to barely pass.

I urge my students to read the chapters before we get to them in class.  I tell my students about study aids that we have for sale, like the 350 page book published by the same people that publish our textbook, " Guide to Passing the AMP Real Estate Exam".  AMP is the people that give the real estate exam in North Carolina.  This book is full of explanations and sample test questions to help anyone pass this exam the first time.  You can find it on my website at www.firstrealestateschool.com

I tell my real estate students about the nine CD program that we sell that they can listen to in the car or home to study effortlessly.  It helps them review the points that we covered in class.
If you can not pass the exam, everyone in this picture is smarter than you

I also tell my real estate students that I have posted twenty real estate math problems on You Tube to help them study the real estate math.  The North Carolina real estate exam is 15% math.  Why would anyone show up to take the exam without knowing how to amortize a mortgage or determine value given capitalization rate and NOI ?  It cost $164 to try again.  It does not matter that you failed by one point.  It doesn't matter if you passed by one point.  Learn the math.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HbEwoiVBMY

I have a practice test right here on this blog.  I also have practice exams at www.ncreexam.com  .  On these exams, the answer key is a video of me explaining the answers.

The North Carolina tells us exactly what is on the North Carolina real estate exam in their booklet, "Real Estate Licensing in North Carolina"   It is a free download from the NCREC.   www.ncrec.gov .  Here is a video describing it.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFPZGo_DJ4&t=10s   This booklet is also published in your textbook.

Here is a idea.  Invite several of your classmates over and watch several of my math videos.  or take my practice test together.  Studying together is a great activity.  Get three to six of your classmates together and make flashcards.  Read this: http://rondclimer.blogspot.com/2017/12/what-about-those-trick-questions-on.html   Here is another idea.  Ask your classmates when they are taking the exam.  Call them a few hours later and congratulate them.  Stay in touch with your classmates.  Talk to them about where you are going to work and why.

Before you spend your $164, read the glossary.  Read the "Comments" on page 591 or page 603 in your textbook.  There is a mountain of test material in the "Comments".  It cost $164 the next time that you take the North Carolina real estate exam.

Please, please, please study like you intend to make a hundred per cent.  Do not study like you want to barely pass.  If I or First Real Estate School can help, contact us at www.firstrealestateschool.com.

Here is another statistic.  Last month, March 2018, eighty seven test applicants with a real estate license in another state took the North Carolina forty question exam to get their North Carolina real estate license.  Thirty of these applicants passed.  If you are soon taking that test Mr, Out of State licensee, check out my practice test at www.ncreexam.com   It is $164 every time you take the test.

Toastmasters Teaches Public Speaking Skills in Hendersonville, North Carolina

I joined Winter Park Toastmasters in Florida when I was a young man.  I had read and studied "How To Be Successful"  books enough to understand that public speaking skill was a fast track to making more money.  https://winterparktoastmasters.toastmastersclubs.org/

At the time, I had just left my first "real job" after college as an automobile salesman.  I had just graduated from real estate school.

Selling real estate is about doing excellent presentations.  No one told me that learning to be a good public speaker will make you better at one on one presentations.  It will.

Enhance your career.  Join Toastmasters
With in four years, I was working for a real estate franchise as a sales trainer.  Everything I learned at Toastmasters enhanced my career, boosted my confidence and raised my income.   https://www.toastmasters.org/   If you are interested in advancing your career, you can find very few skills that will enhance your paycheck faster than learning to be an excellent public speaker.  You will find no avenue that will make you an excellent public speaker better than joining your local Toastmaster club.

Flashback in time.  As I looked at Winter Park Toastmasters website page (link above) for the first time in my life two minutes ago, I saw Blake Smith and Andy Brown in a picture of  "Distinguished Toastmasters" in their club.  When Blake joined Winter Park Toastmasters in the early ninties, he was a termite inspector.  Why would a termite inspector need public speaking skill?  In Toastmasters he met, Kim Glaner that worked for Motorola.  Now, Blake is an executive at Motorola.  Also in that picture is Andy Brown, the head instructor at the biggest best real estate school in Florida.  I know that the groundwork for both those careers was created at Toastmasters.

Maybe weekly Toastmaster meetings are not the best way for you to learn to be a good public speaker.  http://fourseasonstoastmasters.com/    If you think it might be and if you live anywhere near Hendersonville, North Carolina, join us on Wednesday morning at eight.  You can spend the results.

Toastmasters Will Teach You To Think and Respond Quickly

Last night, I was sitting up watching C-Span.  There was a "town hall" meeting on concerning the Parkland, Florida school shooting.  This meeting was in Broward county Florida.

They had several state politicians and local politicians.  Citizens and students asked questions.  It was obvious that most of the politicians were overwhelmed by the questions.  They had no answers. Since the purpose of the meeting was to make the politicians look good, this meeting was a failure.

Learning public speaking skills is easy at Toastmasters
I am a member of a local Toastmasters club.  We teach our members public speaking  skills.  What great skills to learn.  One of the exercises that we do every week at Toastmasters is called "table topics".  This works like this.  The table topic master asks a question and calls on a member to answer that question.  The question may be something like,"What have you learned this week?".  The purpose of this exercise is to learn to think quickly and respond quickly.  What a great skill to learn!  It is hard to learn this skill without practice.

In business, you are are often asked to answer a question RIGHT NOW.  Your answer may determine whether or not you make this sale or get this account.  Thinking quickly and answering quickly and confidently will make you money.

If you live near Hendersonville, North Carolina, join us on Wednesday morning at eight o'clock. www.fourseasonstoastmasters.com  In a couple of years, you will be an excellent public speaker.  This skill will go straight into your wallet.
